Little John and more

   Well it is Sunday again and we had another week trying to use our time to some good. We did a fair amount of yard work and I remembered why I prefer grass over flower beds. There were a couple of days that the wind really blew, and I even went and helped Logan on a roof for a couple of hours. But   the best part of the week started Thursday afternoon when we headed to visit Drew, Gail, and John. It was a lot of fun. John is really good natured smiling a lot and laughing. It was so easy to make him laugh, it must be the gray hair. We had Português class onFriday and one of the classes was a group discussion. It was interesting to see the level of  other missionaries português. We played several games of rook and spent a lot of time playing with John. Saturday morning we headed home stopping by to visit Pat, Laura, and the kids. Another great time. We came home and had a nice Sunday at home.

Just another crazy week

   Another week has gone by and same old same old. I keep doing the same things expecting different results. Wait that is one of the definitions of being crazy, who would have thunk? We did have some of the nicest weather I have ever seen in May. We bought a dump trailer of wood chips and got them all distributed. The yard is looking better.  We are walking each day and trying to add a little distance hoping to get it up to 3 miles soon. We are getting in condition for summer. This week’s português lesson was different as our normal tutor was gone so we had a guy from Brazil. For some reason it was harder. Sunday was nice grandma and I had Sacrament Meeting alone and it was good. Then all the kids either came or we visited on line, for mother’s day. I have included a neat picture from camping.

Long week

   Well this time it has been a whole week since I wrote a blog. I feel like I am just doing the same thing over and over. We went shopping and they still had meat and eggs and margarine and even beef stew. I got my tractor out and carried some wood chips around and cleaned up at the end of the garden. I spent almost an entire day cleaning the shop. I made a large batch of  chili. On Thursday we  had português class. I had to read Harry Potter. I have a homework assignment to read and then write a review of the first chapter. Cool. We went to Pat and Laura’s Friday and spent the night there Saturday we drove to Bear Lake and Logan’s family came also and we ate lunch and the kids played in the water. It is really pretty right now. It being Fast Sunday we didn’t eat dinner.  Sunday we had our church together and pat cooked dutch oven chicken and potatoes and baked beans. He did a great job. We came home and called Jordan and Drew and their families. Monday I was back on the tractor and took out the fence in front and leveled out the dirt. It really looks so much better. But I had a power steering line break and it took a bit to repair but we got it going again.  We want to get all we can done so w can travel and camp this summer. I will try to blog a little better.
