Gotta love Saturday

 Saturday January 31. Today is our day off so we decided to go to the feira.

Some of the other senior missionaries wanted to go and we were to all meet at 11:00, but no one showed so off we went. There are a lot of street graffiti including pictures of a blue dog.

There is a store we drive by which has some neat art work.

We arrived at the feira and walked around. This guy had us try all kinds of fruit. I don’t understand some of it as it is more seeds than fruit. The strawberry inside a date though was very tasty. 

We bought a lot of produce, the most expensive being the strawberries. When we headed back down the hill to catch the bus we encountered the other missionaries coming up. We had way to much in my pack to go back, so just said hello and continued down. There was a nice conductor on the bus who talked to me all the way home about stuff. We arrived and I weighed my pack. Just 25 pounds. 

There are a lot of carrots, potatoes, and onions for $4.00. We are still trying to let grandma’s knee recover so we stayed in the rest of the day. These days are the days I miss our home. Love to all.
