First Sunday in Paridise.

We are about over our jet lag. We were up at a decent hour and ready before 9:30 when the elders were to come by and walk with us to church. At 9:35 I called them and they hadn’t left yet so being adventurous we set out walking in,the general direction of the church. Just as we turned to head down another road in the direction of our apartment I recognized the apartment building of the elders, we had it pointed out to us the day before. As we approached they came walking out of their door so we continued on to church. It was difficult to recognize some of the women from yesterday because everyone was wearing a mask. These women aren’t going to quit on me until I pronounce the words perfect, but they seem to enjoy it. It seems that some things are the same throughout the world. Women enjoy helping men change how they do things. But I digress during Sacrament meeting we had to introduce ourselves. In Sunday school I had to read a verse from the doctrine and covenants. Not my best work. Meanwhile the entire female population is now Facebook friends with Grandma. Next it was home for lunch this afternoon we went to teach some children of several members. They were a lively bunch. It was really hot but one little girl who looked and acted like Megan spent all the time talking with Grandma. After the lesson the father asked me to give his wife a blessing as she had eye problems and needed surgery. 45 years is a long time to remember how and good words. Well next time to finish yesterday’s blog and I had a lot of trouble with the pics. We contacted our kids on messenger and later I was able to add some more pics so enjoy. Today i only have a picture  of the chapel and the old rock wall behind. One other item we were without internet acc for more than a day so I wrote this and can send it now.

Pretty big lava rock walls! Use what you have I guess.

Diving in and giving blessings, reading scriptures, and being corrected by the locals is the best way to improve your language skills. Good job! Why is there a fence on top of the rock wall?

Awesome rock wall! Why are there like jail bars over the church sign? Is that the hotel that the missionaries were staying in?
