Wednesday January 26

Today just went by quickly and I forgot to take very many pictures. We needed to get the zone leaders to the airport and then had to return so they could use our phones to get the documents they needed to be allowed to fly. We ended up back home and we did some studying on how to use the programs to be more effective. In the afternoon we went to ribeira grande and with he elders made 4 visits. 3 of the 4 had or were just recovered from covid. It is really raising in frequency. Either we are blessed or our vaccinations are superior as we have had 3 tests in the last week all negative. The people here have always worn masks and now wear them walking in the street. It is mandatory if over 5 to be vaccinated and over 25 to get the booster. In spite of all this the numbers are really on the rise. One article in the news said they need to quit testing so much as it just increases the totals. They predict a spike in February. Well we went on working. Stopped at the market as I needed soap and noticed these pretty fish.
Then stopped for a picture of the bridge and waves.

We ate late and did a little more around the apartment. Didn’t get to do all of the things we wanted to do, but that also means we have things still needing done. As we try to help here I notice more and more that it is easier to stay out of trouble than it is to get out of trouble. We love you all
