Friday April 8

Today was another nice day to be here.we headed out for our walk and soon grandma had her coat off. There were 3 interesting ships here today. A huge yacht, a 4 masted sailing ship I think a cruise type, and a small cruise ship. The difference between a small and a huge cruise ship is extreme.

I took this picture from the waterfront looking back at the tallest building.
We stopped off at the farmers market then on home for lunch. On the way there was a large street repair going on. They were replacing the stones in the street. It was neat to watch,  but grandma was hungry.

I made fried rice, using some pork I thought would work out, but it didn’t have enough fat so it was not as tasty as it could have been. We had. Things todo in the afternoon and evening. First we went visiting in a nearby town. The wind had really picked up almost gale force. While driving we saw the huge sailing ship fighting its way out to sea using its motor. We finished up our visits and then we had an appointment to visit our friends out in ribeira grande. That was a lot of fun. When we headed home it started to rain and is supposed to rain for the next 2 days. We came on home late and were glad to be back. We love you all.
