FHE

Monday February 9. Not to keep repeating but it is back to work for us. Upon arrival there was an. Older service missionary waiting and we headed off to check out another project. This time it was almost out of the city.

A school that teaches kids and some adults needs a new roof. We spent some time talking with them and they even had the contractor come. He had on jeans, work boots, and a tape measure. Good man. He explained a lot to the older (75) missionary I just listened. Easy to follow the conversation. After the conversation we went and looked the projeto over. The roof really needs replaced.

I talked to the contractor told him what I used to do and I was golden. He talked to me and kepy shaking my hand. The roof is bad. They gave us a tour of the facility. The kids are cute and well behaved. The adults are attending technical school and get help with job placement. Another projeto where we can do good. They have a garden spot where at times they teach gardening, it has a scare woman.
Makes sense to me. If I was trying to scare things away a woman figure is much more frightening and we all know they are meaner than ….. I was able to get a few pictures on the way home, this journey we traveled through some of the most expensive areas and some of the poorer parts. There are patches of jungle, one area with Indians, where if the reservation was in a huge city this is how it would look.

We were within 15 miles of the ocean and it was much wetter here. The space needle looking thing is a water tower, 50 years ago they were everywhere, now this is the first one I have seen. The train, the yellow one is covered in advertising decals. The graffiti is for the walls and buildings. The car we traveled in.
Most of the people we met with.
Didn’t get a picture of the contractor. Back to the office and after lunch, we received another assignment to start helping the perpetual education program. They want us to help with their files several days a week. I ran the numbers if all goes well we will work 4 days a week. We do whatever is needed. We had the lesson in FHE. We are glad to have that done. Walked home in the rain. Busy day. Love to all.
