Rest day

 Today we actually went to the feira early.

I asked one of the vendors what time they set up and she said they start about 4:00. Some type of squash I think.

We saw people dressed up in costumes going and coming on the bus. I think they are preparing the annual event called carnival.

We had an hour break when we got home and then one of the couples wanted to take us to the butcher shop close by. For some reason they circled up and around and down, when the shop was just across the street from the bus stop we use to go to the feira. I purchased some chicken at a reasonable price. But while there it started to rain. The roads flooded the sidewalk was running water.

We waited under the awning for 10 minutes and it quit. But now we had to circle back the same way to be able to jump over the deep water running next to the curb. Then home and I needed to cook up the rest of the potatoes and carrots before they went bad, so I made stew. Last week it reminded me of the stew back home but today’s is wonderful. Grandma needs to rest her knee and it kept raining on and off so we stayed in. We watched the podcast on Sunday's lesson. Love to all. P.s. the sign says don’t step meaning don’t walk on the grass.
