Nice walk

 Saturday March 14.

Today I headed out for a walk when the sun came up. I headed down the road past Sam’s Club and hit a road I had noticed from passing on the bus. The reason I wanted to go there was it appeared flat. Everything here is either up or down usually at a steep angle. The flat lasted for only a block or so. Then I started climbing not terribly steep but long. I passed several people on my climb, one a young woman in high heels. She was trucking right along and still had a mile back to the main road and buses. I topped out and headed down . I came out on a t intersection to the left and down was steep enough to require turning sideways and descend single stepping.

Up was slightly less steep and the top was close. When I got to the top I realized I was by the mustard colored apartments we can see on the window of our apartment. I have pictures from both places.

I headed out and down. While walking a car parked and the man walked across the street and I heard him clapping his hands. The people responded and let him in the gate. 50 years ago we clapped at each gate and talked with the people.  Getting out I stopped and shopped for the week. Early like this there were not many people there. They have the easter decorations out and I bought all the varieties of generic cheap oreos.

Later we attended a dinner with other senior missionaries. Fun walk fun day. Love to all.

I would think no one in the house could hear the clapping. I wouldn’t if someone clapped at my door. The variety of food is impressive. I had no idea Pringle'’s were sold in other countries.
