Sunday MARCH 1. Today I left just before sunrise so I walked for a few laps in the garage. Then I headed down the hill like I did yesterday. The route was the same till I could pass through the close area and turn into another section of residential homes. Some are really well maintained but all are behind walls and fences with security systems. There were more cares and trucks with flat tires and that abandoned look. There was a road pronounced Jordan . Right as we leave our compound there are 2 phone booth type things. I hadn’t noticed them before. I came home and we headed for church and had good meetings.
Next we hurried home and ate lunch and called an uber and off to see the choir. We arrived early ahead of many, but the line was over an hour but we cut the line and got right in but ended up in the top rows. Oh well. We sat by two young returned missionaries a brother and younger sister. It was great talking to them while we waiting the hour and a half for the program to start. They live with their parents in a favela and we are invited to visit them I hope we do. The program was really good. I enjoyed the little kids and I am amazed at how the choir sang so many songs in Portuguese. They have skills. Elder Soares is with them.
Getting out of the building took longer then getting in but we soon had an uber and then we were home. We called all our kids and had fun. Busy day but grandma did pretty good. Love to all.
