Wow this was cool

 Saturday March 21.

Today I waited until 7:00 to go walking. I wanted to use some of my steps getting groceries for the week. I just rounded the corner from our compound and saw a small fiat smashed on a power pole. I took a couple of pictures and if you look to the left you can see a young lady sitting in the doorway of a closed business. I stopped and asked if it was her car and she just nodded and I asked if she was ok another nod but she had been crying. Sometimes it would be nice to have grandma along to dispense hugs.

I went on down to the store and bought groceries, then headed home. Everything was still the same at the accident scene so I stopped and checked with her to see if someone was coming to help. She said yes and she still looked all alone. We had an appointment to go with one of the education department workers to attend the Campinas Temple as our temple is still closed. When we walked down to meet them the accident scene was almost all cleared up just some city workers sweeping the garbage that was everywhere from the curbside garbage bags. We left and soon were seeing all kinds of new things. We had traveled most of the route the time we met the refugees.

Well next we stopped at a huge mall for lunch. Even though Campinas is only 2 hours from São Paulo it has over a million people

I tried but was unsuccessful to get a picture of a well dressed young woman with a mid sized dog she put in a really nice dog stroller. The truth sometimes is stranger than fiction. Grandma and laughed for a while. The lunch was good and quick then off to the Temple. The Temple here sits on a hill a ways out of town. The flower gardens are huge and pretty. There is a large building for groups who come from long distances with changing rooms. A small food store a kitchen and rooms to stay in for next to nothing. There were many families there and many small children. It was fun. The fountain in front has a pool encircling it and a little girl was circling around it. I love it.

We attended the temple then headed home. The forest is beautiful and it is good to get out of the city. Next stop a place called 56 they have a classic 1956 Chevrolet in front and all kinds of stuff inside.

We ate some but most importantly grandma got her favorite pastry from Portugal. They had a Portuguese section with colorful rooster and all.

Several flavors of twix and a yellow cab out front and colored fish, carp I think.

It was getting dark now but when we got closer to home the traffic was awful. Soccer game was starting and they take it seriously. People pay to park and walk several miles to get to the stadium. Finally home happy and tired. Wonderful day. Love to all.

Also, love the pics of the temple! I’m glad the Brazilian people have several temples so they don’t have to travel crazy distances all the time ❤️

Google Gemini confirmed my suspicion that the fish are likely koi or goldfish.
