Blind leading the blind

Tuesday May 5. Today is more of the same.

We had a bit to do communicating with a potential project. But mostly just doing our own thing. We probably should go in later, but when we go late the other people worry we may have had troubles crossing the road. Or sick or got mugged or dies or something. So we go in at the regular time when we know we have free time. I decided to begin today studying Portuguese again. Grandma and I are reviewing some of the grammar and rules for conjugation of verbs. It can only help. we have a blind guy who works in our office. He brings special equipment that helps him use his computer to enter data. He works half a day each week. In the education department there is another guy who uses a cane but must see a little because he always helps the other guy go out to catch the bus. Quite the sight two blind guys walking together.
We ate the lunch I had packed.

Late in the day I went across the street and purchased groceries. I always seem to pick the wrong checkout line. The checkers here are so laidback, and the customers are often slow and they always question the prices. The one today had some food and then a bunch of clothing items. She kept questioning the food prices  but finally decided to pay for them. First she needed to stop and bag them up then look for her card. The registers here are really slow and then generate a receipt that takes a couple trees to make. Now we return to the clothes. The checker scan in one and the couple would sit and look at the n.monitor checking the price. One was to much so it had to be unscanned then one was apparently marked wrong needing a visit from one of the floor managers who ride on roller skates to come for an override. Now rhe bagging followed by the slow process of paying. But wait after all is put away they decide to buy the last item that they had put back. The checker looked at me and rolled her eyes. The payment process was just as slow the third time. Now they are all smiles as they try to stay engaging the checker in chitchat. There was one more customer before my checkout, but she went fairly quick. I am putting my purchases in my pack as quick as they are checked and have ny credit card out before we start. Why didn’t I change lanes I was locked in by two other customers from the start. One was in one of those electric grocery carts so no luck there. Oh well makes for something to write about. I returned back to the office and then we walked home. I prepared and cooked beef stew. It was really good but I eat too much. JJ called and we got to visit with her for 10 minutes. Love to all.
