Some days are just better to be finished. Grandma and I dressed up nice for church today and I wish the weather would have cooperated for us to take a picture. I carried my suit jacket to church as the temperature along with the humidity made for a warm walk. We noticed this strange contraption out in the ocean and wondered what it is and how it got there.
We continued on to church and we were introduced to many more members. Soon it became time for church to start grandma and I were sustained as the district self reliance leaders, then I was sustained to be the second counselor in the branch presidency. There were a lot more members in attendance than last week. Well nest I gave my talk. The rest of the meeting went well and grandma did a bang up job on the closing prayer in português. I next set apart one of the branch self reliance leaders and felt like I was thrown in the deep end of the pool as I had no idea what to use as her calling title. And talk about long names. Oh well as I keep saying suck it up buttercup. On the way home we stopped at the missionaries apartment as it was where the previous senior missionaries had lived. They have a balcony so I took another picture of the strange contraption. It is hard to see but it has moved there is a tugboat pulling it. It was nice to arrive back at our apartment and change as the humidity was pretty bad. I cooked up a nice lunch (l try to do all the cooking as a perk for grandma coming here with me) hamburgers and french fries. The hamburger was probably the best I’ve ever had. As l was doing the clean up out the kitchen window here came that floating thing. As you can see the weather is still rainy and cloudy. This thing was moving down the coast real slow and within an hour was out of sight around the bend. Grandma took a long nap and I tried to catch up on some reading as I had fallen behind since arriving here. Then it was time to call everyone. We were able to contact he Carter’s they were here in the azores until they went home me the same time as us. They wanted to visit about some of the people they stll were in contact ct with. That’s one of the highlights of the week. I expect some nicer weather and when we get it I need to store up some extra pictures so I have them for low picture days. If ths is better with the pictures placed as they are explained let me know as it seems to be simple enough to do. We love you all.

I think you're doing great especially with the pictures
Keep up the good work!
Yes, keep doing the pics like this, it’s great! I had to talk on Sunday too…but at least I didn’t have to give it in Portuguese 😉.
Good job on diving in with the work! So cool you are both learning the language even though it's stressful. Keep on sucking it up. I love you both!
The strange contraption looks like a pirate ship. It's cool that you're the 2nd counselor in Portugal. Good job grandma on the closing prayer, love the view of the ocean.
Love you guys so much and miss you,
Love Ashley!
