Cows and Horses

Saturday July 24. Happy pioneer day. Today we started out not walking in the morning again. We knew we were going out with the elders on visits so we saved our walking for then. First they had language class  and then we left for our first visit. We are going to people who attended last week but ones who don’t come every time. In the afternoon the elders needed to meet up with a member to pick up their dinner and it turned out she worked at a store similar to a cal ranch store. We had to wait as a herd of milk cows was moved down the road .

At the store I took some pictures of dog houses and the front of the store.

To the side they had sort of a park and so a picture of grandma, flowers, and a tree.

After a quick trip home and a fast lunch we headed back for one more visit. We had to share the road with a horse and cart. The back was full of milk cans and we passed him several times. These carts are not real plentiful but we do see at last one each time we travel in the country.

We had a branch leadership meeting at 6 pm and grandma chose not to go. She chose wisely. It is went on for 2 hours and what parts I could understand were just a rehash of last time. They need to try and keep it interesting. Earlier I took pictures of a rock wall, they all are like this sort of like stack rock except some of them are hundreds of years old.

One member we visited lived in house number 5 with the paint job it looked like perfect camouflage to me.

If all come that we visited along with the regular people we should do well. Love to all.

I love the horses. The picture of grandma with the flowers and trees is beautiful, especially with the sun shining on grandma! I love the members' camouflaged house. The rock wall is awesome the way they built it with all the different colors. Love you both! Love Ashley!
