Pineapples
Today we headed down to visit the farmers market again. As we are still trying to learn the area we tried to go by another route without adding a lot of distance to our walk. Soon we were in new territory and began seeing new things. We came to the university and walked right in and not until we left did we notice a sign that no one could enter unauthorized.
Grandma noticed a guitar store we will need to check it out another time. We headed up a steep street and at the top was a church sitting on the top of another hill reached by climbing a lot of stairs.
Turns out it is the site of one of the oldest churches in the Acores. During the first world war the church was taken down and because of the view it was used as a fortress and in the next war as an anti aircraft emplacement and then the church was rebuilt. The view was amazing. Notice the twin masted sail boat.
We could see the farmers market and soon headed there. We had to go down a steep street with ridges in the stone work to gain more traction for the cars. We passed the Baptist church
and attived at the market we purchased our normal produce and a minni pineapple. These pineapples here are raised in greenhouses and are way sweeter than normal pineapple. We loaded up my backpack and headed home. The elders brought pizza and we had a nice lunch. Next we had a branch president’s meeting. On my walk home I passed a honda this would sure be handy to get around. While walking we keep finding signs that remind us of our grandkids like mcKenna Mecham.Love to everyone. Thanks for all the nice comments Ashley. What a kind thing to do.

P.s. Tell grandma that I really enjoyed talking to her today on the phone it made me really happy! Oh and grandpa I was wondering, did you take your guitar with you to Portugal? If so make sure to check out the guitar stoor sometime and put it in a new vlog.
The Pineapple looks good I heard the center is soft enough to eat Reed do you play the guitar I did not know that if you do you take great pictures
That 4-wheeler is a hybrid of a bullet bike and a quad. The whole body is a bullet bike. So weird!
That would be a fun blog if you and mom had that 4 wheeler to ride around on the island. That's a fun find. I'm glad you got to explore the university without anyone chasing you off.
