We were up and ready to go to the airport at 6:30. We sailed through tsa and then sat around till 8:30. The flight was rather uneventful but we did arrive 15 minutes early. Our uber ride showed upand we were off. The driver was an older guy who talked to me all the way. Definitely easier to understand than the average man in the acores. We arrived at a really nice hotel called the axis.
We got set up changed and went walking looking for a restaurant. We found one on google map and set off. We are in an older section of town the cobblestone streets are a bit rougher the stones are a bit larger and the corners stick up uneven.
We came to the restaurant and to tell the truth it looked rough on the outside but was pretty good inside. A little pricey but the food was probably the best we have had. The meat turned out to be really good steak.
Even funner the manager and waitress were very kind and visited with us. The waitress from Brazil and so easy to talk with. We went back to the hotel and it started to rain and stayed raining all day. We have a balcony on the sixth floor. The rooms here are smaller and sort of remind me at times of camp trailers in their arrangement. Really modern and all but definitely not like at home.
Strange to be just hanging around. We studied a bit but mainly because of the rain we just hung around. A few hazy pictures.
Even stranger we have a time change to deal with

I have a feeling you guys are going to fly more over the next 18 months than you have in your entire life! Hope you are enjoying the mainland and seeing some of your old stomping grounds 💕
We sure could use some of the rain it's so dry
Jet lag for Zone Conference! The hotel sure looked nice.
I like the picture of grandma hanging out on the balcony. Beautiful view as well.
Love you guys, Love Ashley!
So much to do and so much to see and then a rainy day gives you a break.
