This morning early we gave a ride to the airport to a young man in the branch who is going to one of the other islands to get work. Even here there are places that are less desirable to work where you can find better pay if you are willing to move there. We came home and ate and then picked up the missionaries and went shopping. This used a lot more time than we expected but we waited as it was raining. We headed out driving along the coast. We stopped at all the neat places but the sky was overcast and it was raining most of the time. We even went to the place with the most famous view on the island and then hiked out to the lookout.
We walked well even though it was muddy and slippery. We headed to town to eat and had a nice meal taking our time. The store across the street had a different take on the nativity scene showing Mary and the baby Jesus on a donkey being led by Joseph.
We saw a small scene made of stone.
We found this building with an interesting roof with all the green plants on it.
We eventually arrived back home and had a leisure evening. Watching the mission wide zoom meeting. Sort of a wet day but we tried to make the most of it. I didn’t take very many pictures because of the weather, but I have had blogs several times about the areas we visited today. We came here on about June 21 and the title of the blog was they are trying to walk us to death. We love you all.
