Saturday January 15

It was cool enough this morning that I wore a sweatshirt on my early walk and never was uncomfortable. We did wait a while to go on our normal walk letting it warm up a little. It was really windy again so it felt nice when walking in areas where there were buildings blocking the wind but chilly almost cold in the open wind especially where the wind blew across the water. There were still a few people swimming, but they stayed in the water then got out of the wind pretty quick when done. We visited the farmers market for our weekly purchase, then tried unsuccessfully to contact a family who lives close by. We walked home staying up on the narrow streets where it was less windy. Christmas is still out.

But recycling must get their bit in. I wonder if people realize that most recycling isn’t doable here on a small island and over a thousand miles from the continent. We had lunch with a member with a dish of beef and potatoes. It was really good. I still don’t understand why a place with so many cows eats so little beef. This evening we had a meeting at the church and since I was going alone I thought I would walk. Just as I got outside it started to sprinkle so I drove. By the time I made it to the church it was raining pretty good. Another long difficult meeting to understand and home sort of late. Tonight I am tired. Trying so hard to understand some of the people actually makes my ears sore. But as I don’t want grandma calling me buttercup as in suck it up it was a good day. We love you all.

I love those Christmas decorations they are so cool and you don't really get to see anything like those around here. Today I saw 4 bucks and they all were 2 points in a heard with their doe's, it was a very neat thing to see. Love you both! Love Ashley!
