Thursday January 13

Well today was supposed to be rainy but it turns out it was a nice day. Now as to the picture. The bush grows over a metal frame forming a sort of car port. The plant is trimmed back and shaped until it takes the form they desire.  Think most of this shaping takes place ths time of year. Look how the plant looks now.
For quite a while there have been no flowers only leaves but now it looks like an apple tree after Jim Thomas gets done with it. The neat part is since we should get to see a full growing cycle we will get to watch it change. On our walk we took a picture of a hostel. There are many throughout the area where travelers can stay. This one had an India slant and a guy actually opened the door and asked in english if he could help us. He had a black turbin and looked authentic.

We continued down to the waterfront and walked along. There are fewer tourists all the time. But another oddity there are lots of local people sitting around n the benches and the sea walls. I think the unemployment rate goes up seasonally. No tourists no jobs. We went home and traveled with the missionaries to visit a couple of members then home and got ready for our evening with visits and a zoom meeting and finally a late supper. By the time we finished I was tired. Good day I wish there were more pictures but I am not seeing as many new things that look new to me. I need to try harder. Meanwhile I do enjoy the warmer weather here and think about how cold and snowy it is back home. A part of  me wants to experience the winter weather but I am able to endure and enjoy it here. We love you all.

Thanks for all the comments. They do brighten our day. Funny how the little things make a difference.

That is the funniest/coolest name for a hotel "The Holy Cow". I can't wait to see that flower bush bloom again. Love you both! Love Ashley!
