Today appears to be another nice day. Up early and off for my walk. It was warm abd nice. I exercised and decided to walk the rest of the way to the ocean. As I went I noticed this anchor with lights and a nativity around it. I have taken lots of pictures of anchors so I thought it would be good.
This security guard came out mad that I had taken a picture. The sign said no pictures. All my talk about why did they have it if no one should see it and even offering to erase it didn’t seem to make sense to him. Sometimes you just retreat. I went on down and the ocean was nice with huge waves. I went home and grandma and I left for our walk. About a half hour into it the rain started falling.thinking it would let up we kept going just a little more then gave up and turned for home. The rain almost stopped but still it was wet. I noticed this mutant leaf on the sidewalk. The leaf has two points like a two headed animal.
We had district meeting this morning, then we gave a ride to the elders from ribeira grande hunting for the bus office where they could buy bus passes. We ended up driving all over but found it. It was 2:30 so I sprang for lunch before returning them to their area.
Getting back to their area we visited some places we knew and shared a spiritual thought with the woman with the two little twin girls. Dropping them off the road led by the ocean. We parked and grandma and I sat on the seawall and watched the waves crash. This never seems to get old. There were two boys trying to fly this parachute kite thing. They kept trying it aiming it he wrong way to catch the wind. They turned around once and got it going pretty good before going back to trying it the other direction.
We drove home and just were getting relaxed when the two elders here wanted us to go out and visit some people we knew. We went all over and got them an appointment and shared a thought with my friend who sang with me that time we had dinner with them and grandma recorded us singing. We stayed out late and finally got home.
Hunter left for Wisconsin today and sent a couple of texts. 47 year’s ago today I left on my mission to end up in Brazil. Fun to share this date with Hunter.
We had walked a fair amount today, but I didn’t look at the step count until the end and I was surprised. We love you all.

I would love to sit with you guys and listen to the ocean! I have always loved the power and the rhythm. I love the smell of salt and the feel of the sea mist. Enjoy it extra for me. 💕
