Adenture

Saturday December 20. Today we have off. We were going on a trip this afternoon, so we needed to go shopping for groceries for the next few days. We walked down to sam’s and filled my backpack.

Some pictures inside.

We walked this batch home and put it away. Then off to the other store.

We were able to find everything we wanted except shredded cheese, sour cream, and cereal. We can find these as time goes by. We made a great salad with ranch dressing and some French fries cooked in our fancy air fryer. We got geared up for our journey. We were going with two other senior couples to a suburb about 25 miles away. We started on the subway or metro and rode to the end of the line where we caught a bus.

Grandma was really struggling having trouble walking and getting off the bus. We were at a flea market type thing. We took lots of photos but didn’t spend money until we bought dinner. The Christmas decorations were extreme, the music so loud I actually plugged my best ear trying to save my hearing. The stuff we were seeing were similar to things we had seen in Portugal. Therefore we decided to pass.

Notice the butterflies and the cascading ice cycles sort of impressive. Kenna, Hallie, and Zoey should note grandma’s shirt I was told. Also note grandma trying on the hair band. We ate dinner and I handled the ordering well. We split a meal and still left some behind. My debit card is still messed up. But the credit card worked great. We walked around some more and now time to head out. They ordered 2 uber rides. Remember that big painting in the picture, well that filled the entire back seat with the owner of the painting was pinned under it and grandma in the front seat with both our packs when I tried to enter in I was not even close so the other fella said I needed to get out while they pulled out of traffic, but instead they pulled ahead a couple of hundred yards. I headed there when they just left. I followed along for a while thinking they would pull over. Remember I have a nonfunctional phone and I don’t even know anyone to call much less an address or phone number. But I wasn’t worried. I got skills. I headed back to our original departure point and soon encountered the other uber and headed home. I talked with the driver and gave him a card inviting him to the Christmas display by the temple. I talked the whole way and did alright. Now the driver had received the wrong address so about half way home he pulled into an apartment complex and said here we go he even had another fare waiting. We had to redirect him and he told his fare Sorry. We soon arrived home without more drama and all was good. Love you all.
