Elder Gong

 Tuesday December 9

Off to a bit of a rough start. I woke up at 6 so had to hurry. We were just in time for class and we had to work hard. But suck it up buttercup we carried on. We made it to lunch and had a nice break. Afternoon was more work and then we had dinner. Earlier on one of the breaks I went for a walk and saw large fallen leaves. I brought one back for grandma because I knew she would think of her grandchildren and the leaves on the window in the azores. We stayed here at the mtc for the weekly devotional and wow we got elder Gong. He spent a lot of time shaking hands and greeting the young missionaries. 

We hoped Asher would have the opportunity to shake his hand. He gave a great talk. Then more time with the missionaries. As we were leaving I looked over and saw Asher. I pointed and he looked up and waved and headed towards us and gave grandma a hug.

In the bottom picture he is in the center enlarge it and see. He got to shake Elder Gongs hand. Amazing. I am so happy to be here with Asher. Made the hard day worth it. The missionary work is true. Earlier in the evening we took some other photos.
