Sunday # 4

Well here it is  Sunday again I am starting to like it here. When we got up this is what we saw looking out our bedroom window.

Sacrament meeting went off well. And then priesthood meeting was taught by a man who served a mission to Brasil and married a girl from there. Because of these influences he is easier for me to comprehend when he talks. When I came home I put on my apron and made hamburger stew. Comfort food and I get to freeze some for meals later on.

Our old mission president and his wife reported on their mission so we went to the church and watched that on zoom. I was surprised they each spoke for 10 minutes and done. It left me wanting more. We left from the church to visit members in the town where the closed chapel is. We only found one family home and while we were waiting at the door this man across the street yelled and when the missionary said a response I didn’t know how it would turn out so I walked over and started talking to him. I could tell he had been drinking, but I explained that we were missionaries and just visiting a member of our church. By now I was leaning on the fence and we were having a nice conversation. Where is that picture right? Just as he got done inviting me in the member finally answered the door and I told him we would have to visit another time. We had a nice member visit and came home. Lots of calls to families and then it was a bit past our bedtime. Talking to you all on Sunday is still the best part of the week even with all the adventures. Love to all.

That is a really nice picture with the rainbow. You need to print it and frame it. I hope you get to go back and talk to the guy across from the member's home. Way to go Elder Mecham!

At least the rainbow was nice. Who doesn’t like a conversation with a impaired new friend.
