Sweet Ride

 Saturday July 17.

Well one month ago today we flew away from home. Sorry no picture of a cake with a candle. We have the car, but because we haven’t driven anywhere except home from the airport we decided we better check things out. So we went out to the airport through the check in and back home, over to the church, and then shopping. I don’t know what it is about me,soda, and Portugal, but when the three of us occupy the same place bad things can happen. I was buying 6 1@1/2 liter bottles of guarana and i stood them on the conveyer belt at the checkstand. When the belt moved one tipped off landed on the cap and exploded shooting soda everywhere. The man ahead of me caught the worst f it before I was able to kick it under the table. Oh my heavens. I turned to grandma and said its just like what happened at Burger King. I apologized the best I could and we checked on through and went home. We saw this cute vespa and I think grandma would look good sitting sidesaddle in a skirt behind me.

Meanwhile I have noticed that they are stealing the names of some of my grandkids for their cars over here. Zoe might need to enlarge.

Who knows what will be next? We ate lunch and went for a drive. These narrow one way streets are both a challenge and sort of fun. To get where you want to go you sort of spiral in until you arrive. The weather is really nice a nice breeze off the ocean looking out the kitchen window. Love to all.
I left off a couple of pictures yesterday of interest a couple of old rusty cannons probably found underwater that would look great by the outhouse. The bottom one is brass from the 1600’s

These would add to my shell collection.
This picture was posted by their stuff from the time they helped during a rebellion in Angola. Calvary guy with aa AK47 on a horse and a helicopter landing. Both from the same country. Now that’s all. Love

I love the idea of "grandma riding sidesaddle in a skirt!" The cannons are cool, it's amazing how you walk everywhere! Love you, Love Ashley!
