We keep trying

Wednesday July 21. Today it was back to our early walk. We headed down towards the ocean along the route we walked our first day here. We noticed different things though including the American embassy.

We walked through a small park with grandma and flowers. Across the street was a stil chainsaw store.

There were a lot of small boats out I assume they were fishing. We looked at the map and headed back by way of a member’s home. We actually walked right to it but left them alone as it was too early. Upset people are hard to deal with especially when you need people to speak slower. The dress code has changed  back to wearing ties all the time so we showered changed and went to the church to see the elders and plan the activities for the day. Late in the afternoon we went to the area around the closed chapel and walking around we tried to locate inactive members. The elders had some success, but grandma and I seem to have  more difficulty. We were on the other side of the island so we saw a nice sunset.

There was an old boat, but I think it is too far gone to be a candidate for the S.M.  Moroni or mission boat.

By now it was late we visited one more house but even though the neighbors told us it was where the member lived she shut the curtains and turned out the lights refusing to answer the door. While walking home this morning we passed this car sort of an unusual color.

Also we passed some guys getting ready to pour a new floor in a building they haul the materials in close to the  place they want to pour and mix it in the mixer and pour it right in place. Crude but effective.

We will keep after this map thing we still have time to figure it out. Love to all.

The boat would look really cool if you could fix it, also it looks cool with the grass growing in it. The car is pretty with that salmon color. The sunset is beautiful and it's even cooler that you can see the sun rays shining out of the clouds. We also saw big blue flowers that grandma's standing by in Oregon. Love you guys! Love Ashley!
