Saturday August 7. I hope to not turn into one of those bloggers. You know the ones pictures of people doing things that no one else cares about. So with our legs recovered we headed out for our walk. I can see that it’s becoming more difficult to find new places to go. If it’s within a couple of miles of us in all directions we have been there. So down to the park we discovered the first time we went walking here. They have playground stuff. The slide is only reachable by way of the jungle gym type net.
The playground areas have 2 inch thick soft rubber squares under everything. Grandma sitting in a tire mounted on a spring that spins. There is a log walk that a few years back would have been easy but now is more difficult. There are several exercise machines the two gliders don’t fit me being a little short the lifting one you are raising your own weight. After breakfast and getting ready to go to the church it starts to rain hard. We needed to get over there early enough to practice singing. Well it just quit so off went. When we were practicing all I could hear was someone bellowing off key imagine my surprise when I discovered it was me. We needed help. We recruited 3 members to sing with us and it was a lot better. The baptism went well. It took 3 tries with most of the group telling the young man what he was doing wrong and how to change it. For a minute I feared he would get frustrated and just leave but he stuck to it and soon it was over and soon we sang. It was not bad quantity can sometimes make up for quality. Now we headed over to a party at the family’s home. We had some strange deserts some good some not so much. Then we had cake. I love cake so I am sort of looking forward to this. It was chocolate with icing and sprinkles. It was not good. Heavy not enough chocolate, maybe no sugar, weak icing. Think heavy chocolate bread. So even though I didn’t care for it the mother had put a lot of work into it and the others ate it up. So even though many times life is a piece of cake some are easier to swallow. Love you all look forward to talking tomorrow.

Hi
I bet you sounded amazing while singing grandpa! That baptism looks cool. The food sounds okay. The log walk looked like fun, and that's one way to get a kid to climb if they want to go down a slide. Sounds like you had a lot of fun. Love you guys! Love Ashley!
Third times a charm 😂! Poor guy!
Great analogy on the cake! Many times life is a piece of cake but there are some times when that cake isn't as easy to swallow as others. I love it! Good job on singing!
