Still Learning
Well this morning I left early for a walk by myself. It was early and there was hardly any traffic so it was nice. I came back and we left for our walk. We have to walk a lot of the time in the same directions as the city is not divided in square or straight streets in any way. But when we get far enough along we try to walk different streets to see what different things we can see and to know the area better. To show how these streets run off at angles here is a picture of a business with walls that go off at different angles and then the buildings start to be separated by a space in the back of each that gets wider until a cross street closes off the triangle. The streets curve and dead end at timesThe way this works out is why it is so interesting. I don’t think they ever tear anything down, there are lots of derilect buildings with all the wood gone such as roofs and the floors, windows, and doors. They just fence them off and life goes on. There are vacant lots between houses some are piled with construction debris, some are pastures for 1 or 2 cows, and some are made into grass areas for people to walk their dogs. When kids play soccer they play in parking lots to stay away from the mess left behind by the dogs. I saw a neat motorcycle a Benelli makers of quality shotguns.
We left early for class as we wanted to visit a member who lived close to the church. She was home but was certain she wanted nothing to do with the church. I wish they would help us get the membership rolls cleared up so the next group of missionaries won’t bother them further. Class was soon over and we had time later to do some study at home. Grandma is working hard I hope she continues to improve. Love you.

That’s interesting that they just use land for whatever. Kids playing soccer in parking lots instead of on the grass, crazy!
Hi Grandpa! I’m so glad your having fun!! Say Hi to grandma for me!!😁 Love you lots!!❤️
My brother Jeff said he thought Thero Micksell served part of his mission on the island sounds like a very interesting place
I love the picture of Marcia studying. I need to be as diligent! I am surprised the crumbling buildings aren’t cleaned up to make way for new structures. —Denise—
The buildings look very cool and interesting, love the blue on that one building, and the streets look very tiny and busy. The land sounds like it's being used a lot. That is crazy that the kids play soccer in parking lots. Love you both! Love Ashley!
