Today I was up and gone by 7 again. It really is summer here. The temperature stays between 65 to 68 degrees which is perfect if you sit on the porch drinking cold drinks, but a little warm walking around. We headed down to the ocean and the traffic was very minimal. Today is a holiday celebrating Portugal day. No formal activity, just people off work and taking life easy. In the afternoon we saw people with grills set up cooking. We saw a fair number of people down by the swimming area, and the tour boats were very busy. The trees are blooming. I don’t remember these from last year so I think these flowers are short
term. We had lunch with a member today. She feeds us almost every week, but usually on Saturday. We had warm potato salad, with green olives and a few carrots thrown in. Could have used some salt and pepper. We stopped on the way home as there was a nice view of another part of town.
I like the look of the tile roofs and the ocean. We drove home by way of the ocean on the road we walk each day and there was lots of people, but few cars. Great day to be driving. We had an easy day of it with it being a holiday and everyone spending their time with family not the missionaries. I cooked some of the food for Sunday. It’s really beautiful here and we will surely miss it. We love you all.
