Monday June 13

It’s p-day. On our side of the island it was all cloudy and rainy. So the two elders who are leaving this week wanted to go see other parts of the island that were new or that they wanted to see. We left in the rain and our first two stops were raining. This week we will reach the one year mark. The reason I mention this is last year when we arrived the flowers were amazing. Well in just one week what a change. The flowers are everywhere.

I know flower overload. But wait there’s more.

Back to the places we visited we went to the nice waterfall, the watermill the beach several nice lookouts.

There were even two rock bridges. Sort of reminded me of the bridge at Magruder ranger station.

We returned for lunch. The elder going home was determined he could eat 2 bifanas a huge pork sandwich so he did.

One elder noticed movement in his sandwich and pulled out a piece of lettuce with a cute worm exactly the same color as the lettuce.  And no I didn’t eat it.
You can see it crawling away. This is fresh food. We probably eat them unknowingly all the time. We came home had our zoom meetings and were done what a day. Don’t expect so many pictures very often. We love you all.
