Pivotal Day

Tuesday August 10. This is a pivotal day. If not for coronavirus this is the day we were to go home. 1 and a half years ago today we started this journey when the little gal said “don’t be afraid elder “ and our new release date is exactly one year away. Another pivotal point Hunter got his mission call today to the winnepeg mission how cool does that make today? Well as we were coming home last night I saw a three masted sail boat at anchor in the harbor. Being tired and a bit late we decided to check it out n the morning. So since we had a busy day ahead of us we were out before 8 am. It proved fortunate that we left when we did. Arriving down at the ocean we found several portuguese navy ships.

The three masted sailing ship turned out to be a navy ship also. We walked down the street to a pedestrian bridge rigged up to resemble a sailboat ng vesseland took some more pictures.

Then we headed out to get a closer look. They were being pushed in by some tug boats and also used large long ropes to pull them in tight. As they moved in the ropes would stretch and make noises and water would be wrung out. Each time more water would get wrung out I don’t know where it was coming from.

When they finished all you could see was the masts sticking above the buildings. We went home spent the day cleaning and packing and then went to the airport. We had to wait a while but grandma found this air conditioned lounge with soft reclined chairs and then on the plane we had great seats with lots of leg room  it was like driving my white truck, what a nice flight. We arrived in Lisboa at 10 pm and an hour later were on the way to the hotel. We had a message to call Logan and called and talked to Hunter. Great day love you all.
