Monday September 13

 

Well today it was cool and rainy pretty much all day. I was able to get n my solo walk by waiting until 7:30 and then I hadn’t been back long before the rain came again. This is not considered the rainy parf of the year, as that starts late November usually. But it does need to rain often to keep everything so green. We went. Shopping at the start of p-day this time and I got a picture of the fish display. Caleb look at the size of those eyes. We finished up

and then at 11:00 headed out. Th last two weeks have been so cloudy that it is difficult to see. Today I think it was worse. There was so much fog we couldn’t see 200 yards there was a couple former senior missionaries from 2 years ago who had served here on são miguel who were back for their sixth visit since serving who wanted to do something with us so we met up with them and hiked to an scenic lookout. It was still quite cloudy but the fog had cleared up and you could see pretty good. Then a fog came creeping in and visibility went to zero. The forest here is different than we are accurate to tall moss covered trees, a scene right out of star wars when they are traveling through the forests with those little guys I think they were called ewoks.

When we walked out a young couple from the states were there getting on their rented scooter so we got a picture with it. We came home cooked and then time for the weekly  mission zoom meeting. This was a strange p-day not much fun and too much sitting around . I knew some days would be not as exciting as others just thought it would happen on some other day of the week. I love you all.
