After my solo walk this morning we decided to go a different route. If you were to divide Ponta Delgada into quarter sections we had pretty much explored 3 of the 4. The one least explored is the most distant and has lots of business and highways. This picture was along the way there are no window openings behind the glass just wall but are made to appear like windows to decorate the end of the house. Sort of like my large picture of my hunting camp in that old window. We had decided to walk for one hour then turn around. There was a restaurant that sold brasilian cuisine.Lots of car dealerships fast traffic, a military base, car washes and after a bit huge traffic circles with
large hotels from the larger chains. We stopped for a break and grandma wanted to check out an antique store.
It had a ton of stuff a huge store. We thankfully can’t use any of it. Continuing on we came to a really nice park with really nice restrooms. Knowing where these are can be important when walking this far away. They had an amphitheater, a climbing wall, a mini zip line, and this cool giant checker setup.A nice park we sat and shared a bottle of water before heading back. In route I took pictures of a real small park where school kids had made bees out of bottles and cans and signs saying how important bees are.
We passed one of those street cleaners I mentioned in a previous post. They are always so nice to talk to.So on the way home right in front of us a car comes tearing out of a side street and hits a bicycle rider. Everyone was okay but lots of confusion
. I stopped to check on the biker as no one else did he was angry but otherwise good. He finally gathered himself up and rode off. Why does it seem to always happen in front of me? Because of the breaks we had taken on the outward walk we had time so we stopped at a butcher who had nice steak on sale for under $3 per pound. Then home and all this before breakfast. Today we had to prepare for an appointment with the friend of a member. Not knowing what I would have to do I reviewed the first lesson and spent some time memorizing key parts. We left in the car picked up our member friend and visited the family. They were busy tonight but we have an appointment to visit next week. Home in the dark and even though it is 10 miles I went without using the maps on the phone . Good day. I love you all.

Windows are like big shadow boxes probably cheaper than a real window awesome park grand kids would have fun
Lots of walking. Drivers sound a little careless there!
Are the numbers at the bottom of the post the steps you take everyday? I’m always impressed with the new things you find and see. How many people live in your city?
That poor biker, it was really nice of you to stop and talk to him. Those "windows" are still very cool. The zipline looks fun, and the checkerboard looks super cool. It's cool that you finally got a picture of one of the street cleaners, and the streets do look pretty clean. I love the bee tree it's so cool. Sounds like you had fun! Love you guys! Love Ashley!
