P-day on our own

 

The elders from the other island Terceiro arrived early this morning and all four of them went with the member here from BYU on a hike. After my solo walk grandma and I headed out on a little different route to the ocean, but still ended up in the same area. It was a nice day, but not as hot as it has been at times. We got all dressed up and went back down by where the rally cars had been, but the workers were fast and had most down, the best I could do was get close for Ashley.

Each day we see lots of people on these electric scooters. One gal rides along in traffic in a dress every day and I finally got a picture as she turned after stopping for a stop sign. I think she looks sharp and the scooter makes a lot of sense. The sister missionaries would look good riding them.

My granddaughters would look great on them. I don’t know how far they go on a charge but one gal we have seen goes several miles one way to work. Just carry them in no need to hunt for parking. We headed out for one of the hot springs. One has geothermal under a cove in the ocean. The tide was really coming in and got its highest while there and so little heat and getting washed around so hey swimming in the ocean. Grandma got in for a little but didn’t like getting washed around so got out and took pictures.

Leaving there we headed north to a beach we had visited before but hadn’t swam in. It was over an hour away but you drive through such pretty mountainous scenery. Arriving the tide was up and the surf was really pounding. No way we were going in there.

We met up with the missionaries and the family from Utah for lunch cooked in the geothermal pit closer to home than where we cooked last time in the ground. The food was excellent, but we had to hurry off so as not to be late for a zoom meeting. I read some from the Blackfoot library’s on line books at times and read a few websites like the church news. I sure liked having a car. I love you all.
