Because we had so much to do today we didn’t get a walk. I got up early wrote a talk finished baking cakes and then translated grandma’s talk. This used up a fair amount of time. The elders called and wanted to go eat at this brazilian restaurant so off went. Good food and fun. I keep forgetting to take pictures so sometimes the blog suffers. Next we went home and finished preparing for the baptismal service. We arrived early but it started late. Fairly normal here in são miguel. Grandma did a nice job on her talk and I did okay on mine and soon the service was over and we were having the little party afterwards. We had that supper appointment to eat limpets so off we went. They brought out two pans of limpets,This is the first one I ate a lot of them. They are covered in butter garlic and lemon juice. You suck it all out of the shell and eat it down.
Glad I got to try them not the worst food, I would definitely eat them to survive. But if I had garlic butter and lemon? So I ate over 20 and grandma had about 15. Next up was swordfish. Not the big fish with a long sword like bill out in front, think instead of a snake ran over until it is flat and sort of resembles a sword. The meat is white very mild actually very good the only drawback is the bones. They are difficult to deal with but I am sure given time I could figure it out. Good fish. Next was the infamous cod fish. If Portugal has a national dish it is cod fish. Those huge flat salted slabs in the grocery store I have had pictures of in previous blogs. At best you can eat it. This was cooked in tomatoes onions peppers and sausage and all kinds of seasoning. Not bad the fish was good and the sauce good just a little spicy. This was my favorite cod fish. In the pictures the swordfish is in pan on top codfish beneath.
We had sweet potatoes which are only raised here. A fruit salad and brownies. Not bad. I would eat all of it again jusr not every day. During our conversation some how the topic of music came up and soon we are singing my only song together it was so funny grandma made us sing it again so she could record it on her phone. Sometimes I just amaze myself. We went home and the elders came to visit and there is a new one as one is being traded out. Good day but hardly any walking. We love you all.

That's funny, what song did you sing? Beautiful flowers as always. The food sounds okay, but for some reason I thought limpets were chicken or turkey legs, which sounds amazing right now. Love you both! Love Ashley!
I think Marcia needs to release or post the recording!
