Friday December 24

 Well again today it is raining and will rain all day. Even the natives say it is raining more than usual. We live in a nice apartment imagine the people from a couple of hundred years ago. Speaking of nice places while grandma was finishing her shower the water heater quit. Not being able to restart it I took a cold shower. Beyond refreshing. We have a youth activity Monday morning and needed to buy some of the stuff today so off to the farmers market  for meat and vegetables. 

The guy selling pineapples had only one out. It was having a bad hair day.

The whole time we were there it rained and the wind blew hard. When we stopped at the mall to get more stuff for the activity I took this picture of the palm tree. 

While shopping I saw this Christmas tree made from dried fish and a sleigh full of dried fisd.

We came home and we waited to go out to have supper with the branch president and family. It was a wonderful meal. Cod fish, salad, and soup. Cakes and ice cream nuts and candy. 

Even santa gave us t shirts.

Very kind people to us in a strange land. They have a pet rabbit.

Their Christmas tree and they had this small nativity in a jar.

Well it was getting late so we made the long drive home. Good day. Merry Christmas. We love you all.
