Today I left early for my walk. It looked like rain, but held off for now. We left for our walk and started seeing these parade floats along the way. They were setting up tables, and roping off a parade route. They have stages set up for some kind of activity.
We encountered a group of our homeless friends and they told us all about it. One more time it is a celebration of the Holy Ghost. This is I think number 3, with another next weekend. At 11:00 they feed everyone and they have homemade wine, then at 3:00 the parade with floats and ox drawn carts. Then activities into the night. We came on home and went to lunch at a member’s home. We had hotdogs and their version of pizza no sauce just cheese and meat. Next we got ready for the baptism of 19 year old Dulce. It went pretty good. Not as much support as I would like to have. I had made a cake and they seemed to like it. Then a leadership meeting. This turned into a huge fight and the elders President left. We accomplished nothing. We came home good day except at the last. We love you all.

Sounds like a very busy day! Congratulations to Dulce. So sad about the contention. Maybe next weekend you can watch the parade and tell us if they throw anything from the floats, lol. I love you! Laura
