We were up early to wait in line at the airport. This is a busy time of year for flying. When our time for boarding cams we lined up again in a huge line and stood until past the departure time. Then they announced it would be 40 minutes late. We sat down a d waited another hour then they put us through the gate and lined us up n those serpentine lines for another 30 minutes. We finally boarded and flew out just over 2 hours late. We had a nice flight and we arrived in lisbon  2 hours behind schedule.

Other then not being fun standing there was no need to be here until 6:00. But now we waited for our luggage at the luggage conveyor. There was a flight crew coming back here who had sat in the rows in bront beside and even in our row. They stood there with us. Grandma and I found a bench very close by and waited. I have no idea why people think I can solve problems, but grandma kept telling me to go find out after an hour as iwas just going to check with the returning flight crew the luggage showed up. It takes a while to get all sorted out and walk out and then over to the place where the cars can pick you up. But eventually we arrived at our hotel. I forgot to mention it is hot here. 96 degrees hot. Quite a change from the island where it was normally in the high 60’s. We checked in walked down to the huge mall near by for lunch then back to the hotel. It was so ht I had to change my shirt. We headed to the church where we are meeting all the senior missionaries for dinner. We had a lot of fun visiting with them. The food was good, good to talk to people who are in there doing the same work. We have a bit of island fever, but getting to talk to others who share similar problems is a help.

We stayed late then back to the hotel. Even with the difficulty still a nice day. We love you all.
