Big city

 Saturday January 3. Today we decided to visit the feira or street market again. We jumped on a bus and headed out. We got off at the wrong stop and ended up walking two more stops to get there. More steps for the count. We bought a lot of stuff almost more than we could carry.

Got the order a little off. I had fun taking to the vendors as there were few customers so they had more time to talk to us. We got some good stuff. We traveled home and ate some street food I bought along with the spaghetti I made 2 weeks ago. It was all good, but I tried to leave enough sauce to use up the leftovers but grandma put the food away and ate it all gone. Next we decided to take a ride on the metro just to check out another stop and get more familiar with the system. We rode to pinheiros which is just 2 stops away but right in the center of sao paulo. There the system is way deep. It required many escalators to get to the top. We walked around the station and everywhere you looked were tall buildings. In one of the pictures you can see palm trees growing on the balcony.

We went back down and took the return trip and used the opportunity to buy more groceries for the week. Neat looking hot dogs.

Reverse order again. We came home with our groceries and as it was getting dark went back to visit the display the church has set up for Christmas around the chapel and the temple. We spent about an hour there, seemed like all the missionaries wanted to visit with grandma. We came home. Nice day.
