Today makes 3 months since we left home. That’s a long camping trip. I did my solo walk a little earlier so we left the apartment before 8:00. We wanted to take it easy today so we headed down to the ocean, ( flat and wide sidewalks). It was earlier but seemed more crowded. It must have something to do with the rally car race. We walked out to the place we had decided to turn around at and sitting on a bench looking at the ocean when with a lot of noise a rally car came roaring by. I was caught unprepared so no pictures and the same a little later. We were sitting on a curve so it was fun to watch but hard to photograph. We got up and headed back towards the start and I got some nice pictures.
Got a tugboat in to. While waiting we watched several starts they use the flag of the acores to send them off holding it in front of the windshield and then dragging it up over the roof. Pretty impressive.
We beat cheeks for home and then over for language class. The elders had received these fried sardines as their meal last night and were being a little prissy about eating them. Like the limpets I told them to not throw them out but I wanted to try them. One elder had tried some after cutting off the head but I told them you eat them head and all. This they had to see.
I ate down two and both elders now ate one each and even grandma had one, as seen in the first picture.
Tomorrow is grandma’s birthday so I had to make a cake. It is quite different over here you have to tweak the recipe and the baking time so long story short it takes extra time and since it needs to turn out nice I have to do two. So far so good. I only walked 6.3 miles today taking it easy but still a fun day a bit adventurous. I love you all.

Happy Birthday grandma! I know I would not try one of those sardines they look weird. That cake sounds delicious. Those rally cars would be fun to drive. I still think you should drive a car over the stadium. Sounds like a fun day to me. Love you guys💖! Love Ashley💖!

I’m all for trying new things but I am opposed to barfing so I’m not sure how much I would like whole fish. Knowing what your eating can be a problem. It would be fun to drive a rally car around the Azores.
