Porto in a day

 

Wednesday September 22. Today we travel we are up and ready and at the airport before 7:00. Since we go and come back fhe same day all we carry are a back pack for me and grandma had her big purse like shopping bag. We landed in Porto at noon with the time change. We had the meeting at 2:00 and by the time we used an hour on a subway and walked for half an hour on the side of a major highway we missed lunch and arrived all stinky and soaking wet witth sweat. My fault, never expect others to take care of you, but be prepared to take care of yourself. Strange looking vent pipes on the buildings.

We were here for a conference with a member of the seventy. The meeting was supposed to start at 2:00 but that came and went. At 2:45 they showed up and got going. About 4:00 we had a break with a sandwich. We went back in but we fly again at 7:00 and we still have to get to the airport and already if it takes as long we will miss our flight and the general authority was just hitting his stride in his instruction. I was able to arrange a ride through the #1 office elder (brinkerhoff) and #10 elder (steiner)

Really they are both nice but sometimes I just can’t help myself and mess with them.
we sort of left right in the middle and the elders going with us were sitting on the front row. Not a good way to keep a low profile.  By the time we checked in passed security we had 10 minutes before boarding. Then a short flight to Lisbon and an hour layover then on to são miguel. We had our nose and throat swab and then home after midnight. Busy day in which I complained too much. Must do better.
