Due to te weather and not wanting to leave the apartment this is the only picture we got today. Didn’t get one of grandma by the purple flowers. So other than the rain and it being fast Sunday pretty normal morning. We had the car so when it was time for church we drove instead of walking avoiding the rain. It was a good day at church, not as many people in attendance as we hoped, but it is what it is. It did rain several times during the meetings and afterwards we waited to leave until it let up. We came home I cooked and it was nice to eat. Hence the picture. Following normal Sunday routine we called everyone. Maybe just me but not quite as upbeat as usual. The day did pass quickly. Now I was asked why everything is so clean looking? The government employs many people cleaning the streets. Many are probably less likely to get a job somewhere else but when I talk with them they are always nice. They push around carts with 2 trash cans mounted on them. The people here just throw their litter in th street. So this army of people use these really stiff kitchen type brooms to sweep everything litter, leaves, whatever into piles. They have those dust pans with long handles on them to pick up the garbage and put it in the cans. I had several pictures of them but must have erased them. They have herds of painters who go around scraping and repainting everything that doesn’t move. They sweep the high traffic areas several times a week. They have huge gas powered vacuum cleaners some men drag around all day sucking up the garage and I thought we walked a lot. Since this is a socialist government the people receive a cost of living allowance and I doubt the amount paid to these workers above that is very much. But they are everywhere cleaning up behind everyone. Talk about a thankless job. Well I hope that answered that question and it sort of filled the blog so love to all.
