It is good to be back where we belong. I was up and gone early and sometimes doing the same old same old is comforting. Grandma and I headed out on our walk going down to the ocean but with no real plan on how far to go. We walked a fair way and then started seeing men fishing. The tide was on the rise and there was heavy surf. This must be the time when the fishing is best as they wer crowded in places these guys use long poles about 15 feet long with no reels. The line is the same length as the pole and they raise it up to bait the hook and take off the fish the fish are small and they throw back the really small ones and keep those above 6 inches or so.
Other men had the same length of poles heavier with reels and they were casting out and fishing fairly close to the shore one fellow caught a fish while I was watching so I got a picture.
We walked as far as we ever had been before and could see a lookout point.
If you look close you can see some railing so we went to check it out. The place was reached circling around. For part of the way we were on a busy fast street with no sidewalks the road edge was the building. When thee cars came you hustled to a doorway and stepped up on the threshold and made yourself skinny. Tough for an old fat man with a backpack. Soon we came to the stairway going up. It was newly redone and the views were nice. There were old rock enclosures I think for men posted as lookouts and maybe cannon placements. Who knows.Looking back to where we had came from looked a long long distance away. We headed back slipping through the narrow exciting part and then slowly heading home. We still had to walk over an hour. We stopped at the farmers market. They are remodeling the place so they moved it down one level into the parking garage. On the way home the little carousel was running.
We came home cleaned up and the elders came over for tacos. We had a baptism at 5:00 it went good, and a woman and her daughter came who are from Brazil originally. So easy to understand.
We had a nice day good to be back. We love you all.

There is something very comforting/calming about getting back to normal routines and sleeping in your regular bed! I love all the pics you post and hope to be able to visit and see everything in person!
