Wednesday October 20

This morning when I went for my solo walk the full moon was looking good. I got a picture that looks good on my iPad not so sure how it will turn out in the blog.
We headed out for a walk and really walked slow. We had no pressing engagements and the temperature was a little nicer this morning about 65 . We walked down by the ocean and the number of tourists is really slacking off. The tide schedule has moved a lot snce Saturday and the waves are not crashing in with the same force although it is on the rise as it was higher an hour later when we passed by the same place. We walked out to the place we often turn around at and tried to find a different route home. Due to the fast traffic and the remoteness of the area we decided the best return route was go back the same way we had come. We stopped and drank the bottle of water I had in my backpack and eventually arrived back home.
For lunch I cooked pork chops in mushroom gravy and mashed potatoes. We got ready to head out again to try one more time to make contact with a family we want to get to know better. They live on a small narrow street and even with a car we would need to walk a fair distance from where we could park. Once again no success. Walking towards home we dropped off to walk along the flatter coastline. It had warmed up to 82 so a little warm, but the people here are starting to wear hoodies and coats. This old gal has a full length coat with a scarf around her neck.

It reminds me of when we used to visit San Diego in the winter and find the people wearing coats and gloves. We wandered our way home before dark, and it was a bit of a long day. We practiced letting grandma try to memorize parts of lessons she could say using simple short sentences. Good day. Even though we were tired we waited up to call Kenna on her birthday. The big 12. We love you all.

That's funny that they're all wearing coats and hoodies. You might be lucky if it doesn't get too cold over there in the winter then you don't have to wear coats. Beautiful picture of the moon. Love you both! Love Ashley!
