Today I tried to sleep in, but no joy. I heated some water on the stove to clean up. I must get the water heater fixed Monday. Well I just sat around. Too early to call anyone and not much to do. The rain was at least less, but the wind continued to howl. I read and even watched some programs on the history channel. Grandma got up and we went for a drive down to the ocean. The waves were high, but the water was dirty and it was very overcast. Not many people were moving around. Little traffic and other than the wind it was quiet. No ships the stores all closed. We drove up around the mall and it was all shut up. We got ready and went for lunch at a member’s home. She is very kind to feed us and bring happiness into our life while we are here in a foreign land. Pictures of her decorations, food, and her.
We had a cod fish dish of course but she had turkey and a type of stuffing. They have many flavors of potato chips and the one we had today is ketchup yeah that flavor. Tastes exactly like it sounds. Grandma really likes it I find it different. Then desert. They eat more candy at Christmas than I expected. They just keep it coming. After lunch her two adult children joined us and we played uno. They kept us playing for hours. I think they like beating me as much as my kids and grandkids do. It was dark when we left and we dropped the elders off at their supper appointment and we headed to a town a little away to see the Christmas decorations. Here are some.
Saving a few for tomorrow. We returned and called home. Good to visit with everyone. Good day. Not as lonely as I expected and I hope others benefited from us either in person or by phone. Glad to share it with you. We love you all.

Looks like you had a good xmas sucks about your water heater
I thought Canada was the only one to have ketchup flavored potato chips! I’m sorry about your water heater. You guys are making do with everything that is thrown at you! Keep it up. I will miss the nativities and lights. —Love y’all, Denise—
Those are such nice Christmas Decor. Love Natalie
I love ketchup chips, but like my mom I thought they were a Canadian thing, yummy! It was great to talk to you on Christmas, so glad you had a home to share food and games with. Such good people there, always impressed with their willingness to serve/love.
Glad you had a good Christmas. That's cool that they have pop there too. That food looks so good. Love you guys! Love Ashley!
