Today was a really nice day. I find that the weather is almost perfect, even though everyone else is bundled up but more on that later. I went for my solo walk and it was  really nice to get back to a routine. We headed down the coast line going to the farmers market, and a grocery store as part of our trip. There was a little breeze and everyone else had coats and neck scarves. I visited my butcher he had a nice display of beef.

There are decorations everywhere even here.

We saw more new nativity scenes. A neat name for a business and even some sort of tour group all dressed the same.

We headed home and sure enough encountered one of the members we like to visit each week just getting off the bus. Right place right time. We visited just a few minutes. We arrived home and got ready to go to lunch with the missionaries at a member’s house. I decided to put on a jacket with matching scarf and mask. Way to hot for now.

We had the best lunch we have had here in são miguel. French fries, noodles, breaded fish patty, pork chops. We stopped on visits while in the area. There was a huge van set up like a peddler wagon selling a little of everything. I talked to the owner a minute then took a picture.

We ended up back at the apartment and I made potato soup for supper. Sometimes plain food is good. We headed out after dark to run errands and since we were out we drove down to see the lights. We couldn’t find a parking spot and so ended up back at the shopping mall where we bought the garbage bags we needed and as we were leaving the mall encountered another family we wanted to see and had been unable to make connections. Sometimes a couple minutes either way and these events wouldn’t happen. We had a good day, it is nice to be back even from a nice trip. We love you all.
