Today was a good day. I made a cake early and had plenty of time to get ready for church. The attendance at church is better, but still are missing 15 to 20 people who are normally there. I stepped outside just before church started and just stood there thinking how cool it was to be standing there in a different country and how everything looked different. We had our meetings then we went home and got lunch ready. We had tacos. They must have been good as each missionary had 4 except the one who had 5. We cleaned up the dishes and then it was time to run out to ribeira grande.
This sde of the island usually has the higher waves and nicer views of the ocean. There are small harbors on this side of the island, fishing boats and that type. The next city fish tail has an improved harbor with a sea wall and lots of berths for fishing boats, probably over a hundred. But the shipping happens down where we walk. There is a large harbor with deep water and a huge protected area to unload and load. The road system is designed for big trucks to load the containers and circle out to the main highway and make deliveries throughout the island. We drove around a while after dropping the missionaries off at their place. We are having p-day out here tomorrow and wanted to know where to go. I will do more tomorrow. We returned home and started calling the kids, it is Zoey’s birthday so fun to talk with her. Another day that is the best of the week. We love you all.
