This is a picture of the sister who is preparing to go to the temple, also grandma’s best friend. Well today the weather was the opposite of the weather from yesterday. We had a zoom meeting with the mission president, the 4 young missionaries on the island and the branch president. It started too early for us to get a walk in so we got ready for it. We planned on walking even though it was cloudy but as we were walking out the door the rain began. We arrived at the church and the meeting was late but soon happened. It was to discuss how we can help the branch to become a ward. There was a lot of discussion and I think everyone is on board with the idea. With careful planning everyone felt important and like they were coming up with the questions and ideas. I passed notes to one of the missionaries and also the branch president and this way got all the answers I needed. With just a little help they took off. I am trying to help and support not lead. The missionaries left feeling they were the key to success and the president left excited about how to start from his end. He was so excited he started calling people setting up opportunities for the missionaries to visit. Hopefully they will continue feeling like it is their idea and work hard. The branch president stayed talking to me about his plans and the missionaries went for lunch. When it all sorted out we needed to go get a member preparing for the temple and grandma and the missionaries worked with her on names for her to go to the temple with. Grandma had one of the best times she has had here. We finally got to go home and eat. Then it was back to the church to be there for the 3 people being baptized tomorrow to check out the clothes and fill out forms. We finished the day running the 2 missionaries from Ponta Delgada out to Ribeira Grande. Driving home the 20 minutes I thought of all the little steps we have to take if you want things to change. We love you all.

Sounds like the Missionary work is progressing with three baptisms tomorrow and a Temple trip
Sounds like a good day despite the rain. I sure hope you get to see the branch become a ward.
