Wednesday July 6

 Happy birthday Drew.

I didn’t take a lot of pictures but grandma was taking pictures as we drove along. Drive by shootings. We went for our walk and I saw two new things. There was a small fuel tanker leaving port it sort of looked like a couple of tanks welded together with the front of a boat and a control deck attached.
Then on the way back I was hearing cows and I could see containers with slatted sided that were going to be loaded on a ship that already contained other containers full of cows. I had thought they processed the meat here and shipped it in refrigerator ships, but I guess they do it both ways.
The small tanker probably gets refilled from a larger one out to sea and then brings the loads in as the port is not real deep nor real large. We had district meeting and headed to Rabo de Peixe to make some visits. This is such a interesting place. I love it. All the poor people, and crippled people just sitting around. No where to go, nothing to do.

We visited a really neat family. They live in a really nice house, but it sits at the top of a narrow steep street, you back all the way in and have to reshuffle when someone needs out.
We came home and soon returned with the other elders to the chapel in Ribeira Grande for soccer night. It was well attended. We stopped of at KFC for a bucket of chicken for the week. Called Drew and went to bed. Good day. We love you all.
