Because we have this big mission wide event in Lisbon this week p-day has been moved to Thursday. I went walking a little early this morning and it was nice. Little traffic and pleasant weather. We headed down the coast as normal, but turned back early and headed home walking down the coast clear down past where we live before heading up. I wanted to check out the store advertising spotting goods as I might buy a pocket knife. In one shop that was still closed I saw a swiss army knife real close to the one I carry at home. The one her store was open and lots of neat stuff.
The guns and ammunition they advertised appeared to be limited to alr rifles and pellets. While walking on the beach I climbed up one of those concrete jack like things but my sore knee wouldn’t let me stand up like normal. Then we saw a stack of metal forms that 4 hooked together let you pour those jacks.
There are these huge trees that grow everywhere whose bark sort of flakes off in large pieces and they look like camouflage. The leaves look like huge maple leaves. These are the leaves grandma used to write the names on and decorate the apartment.
When we got home I made pizza and then with the left over dough cinnamon rolls. The new mixer is amazing.
We went out and visited a member family then we used the car to drive down as a new cruise ship was in. It is even larger than the last one. Princess line. The pictures don’t do it justice at night. We love you all.

Comment from Gail: Drew many a Sunday evening makes us a homemade pizza and cinnamon rolls with the extra dough; it's fun to think of you guys doing the same thing! Also, can you hear people, music or anything from the cruise ships? I am curious to how loud they are considering how close they seem.
The cruise ships are still very cool. That new cruise ship is so beautiful lit up. I think those jack-looking things are very cool, and you looked good climbing them. I love the trees and those big leaves are super cool, and I like how they are surrounded by that cool designed pavement. Love you guys! Love Ashley!
Those jacks up close are impressive, sorry about your sore knee though! Do you have any desire to go on a cruise after your mission, I know that’s on our bucket list!
Like Gail asked, do you hear any noise from the ship? It would be really neat to go onboard to explore for a little bit. I hope the inflammation in your knee will go down and you won't be in pain.
