I didn’t take many pictures today so one from yesterday. I walked early and it sure felt good to walk on streets and sidewalks instead of trails and cobblestone. The trail or road out yesterday is cobblestone. The rocks are rough cut in rectangles and then set in sand. Sometimes mortar is used to keep them in place but many times not. When things get out of level and bad enough sometimes they just take them up level the old or new sand and put the stones back. We walked down by the harbor again today as we like this trip several times a day. We have walked most everywhere you can reach from our apartment and this route is one of our favorite. There were two cruise ships at the same time docked.I didn’t notice a huge increase in tourists but we were out early. Down by the swimming place the lifeguard and the lady were on the rocks by the water searching for something, I figured she had lost her phone or something like that but eventually they came out with a seagull I didn’t get pictures till she had it wrapped in her coat and carried it off.
We walked home cleaned up and headed to the church had language lesson and then district meeting. We fed the missionaries as they had no food at home. We saw this guy sitting at the bus stop he looked unique.
We ran some errands then I had a branch presidency meeting. Once again I was left understanding very little. There are people here who I swear don’t speak português. They talk so fast with such a heavy accent and talk over each other at the same time. I sit and pray and focus and understand little. I at times feel unprepared. The young missionaries seem to do so much better. I can speak it and read it fine, but a lot of the time I am left in the dust when they talk. But once again it is my problem not theirs. I bought some takeout and brought it home for supper. Good day by and large. Sure a lot easier on the knees. We love you all.

You sure are a good sport when it come to language barriers. I think you are better than you give yourself credit for, but I can only imagine the frustration. Marcia sent me a video of you singing for your dinner, the kids loved it!
That unique guy looks like a sheriff with the star on the hat, or even just a cowboy. Those cruise ships are so cool, you don't get to see very many here. Was the seagull dead? Love you both! Love Ashley!
I loved hearing you sing in Portuguese! I think you doing pretty well!
