Thursday November 11

Today we are in Lisbon. I look out the window and see the apartments of more people than live on são miguel. I can only see a tiny part of Lisbon from our window. The landscape is less green and it is definitely cooler. We headed down for breakfast here in the hotel.  Next we headed down to the chapel next to the temple. All the missionaries in the entire mission are gathering together to travel to visit a lighthouse. The temple has set up a nativity scene.

We boarded 3 buses and headed out.for the hour ride. The lighthouse was nice, we have many lighthouses on the island as mentioned in my earlier blogs, 

But this lighthouse is located on the point of land which is the location most west in all of Europe.

There were a lot of missionaries.

They gathered us all together and got a group picture and we sang. Time to head back we arrived back and there was a lot of visiting and some confusion. We walked back to the hotel and after a quick wardrobe change headed back to the same mall from last night. We ate in a português restaurant to experience new food. It was good, the salad was really good and the lemonade they served with the meal was great. The food on Wednesday was still the best but it’s fun to try new things. We got some ice cream for desert and went out on th balcony with other missionaries to at it. While there one of those Harry Potter groups I mentioned in an earlier blog came marching and chanting down in the park below us.

We walked around and still enjoyed the Christmas decorations you are probably tired already of these.

Then we went back to the hotel and headed for bed. Load, busy day. We love you all.
